Privacy Policy

At Wired Internet we respect the privacy needs of our customers, and our customers’ customers, i.e., your subscribers. This is an outline of the personal information that is gathered by the WiredMAIL system and how that information is used.

Information collection and use

WiredMAIL only asks for information that personally identifies you when such information is required to create your personal access to our email marketing product, and to contact you in the course of using this product. Financial information that is collected is used to verify, identity and to bill either you or your company for the use of WiredMAIL only.

Under no circumstances will WiredMAIL make any personal information about an individual user, customer or subscriber available to anyone else.

Except as mentioned above, WiredMAIL will not send you unsolicited email information, commercial offers or advertisements. We will not sell, rent, or loan our contact lists or our customer’s subscriber lists (including customer data) to any outside organisations or use customer subscriber lists for our own marketing purposes.

Email tracking

To monitor activity and gather information about the emails sent through WiredMAIL our system uses techniques to identify activity data such as the date, time and location from which an email message or website was accessed. This is usually done using transparent graphic files that are invisible to the subscriber, sometimes referred to as web beacons. This is a non-intrusive technique that does not compromise the security of subscribers and gives subscribers the ability to control tracking on a per email basis. Most modern email clients warn a user first before downloading the images in an email, which allows the subscriber to opt-out, thereby complying with privacy best-practice.

Subscriber lists and data

The WiredMAIL system provides a built-in way for subscribers to opt-out via the unsubscribe mechanism at the bottom of each email. If this code is removed by a customer, it is automatically put back in to comply with local legislation.

WiredMAIL processes unsubscribe requests promptly and no further communications will be sent to subscribers who have stated that they do not wish to receive the specified information.

WiredMAIL ensures that all subscriber lists, email content and reports remain private and confidential.

Special offers and updates

Established users will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, or a newsletter. In accordance with our privacy policy we present the option to not receive these types of communications. Customers can unsubscribe via the unsubscribe mechanism at the bottom of each email.

Service announcements

From time to time it may be necessary for us to send out a service-related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send users an email. Such communications are not promotional in nature, and we don’t recommend customers opt-out of these communications, but we can deactivate an account if a customer no longer wishes to hear from us.

Website usage information

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. We do not link your IP address to any personally identifiable information. We do use tracking information to measure and monitor traffic levels through WiredMAIL, tracking how often each page is visited and how the site is used. This information is used to help us provide and maintain the best service we can for you.

Security technology

WiredMAIL uses best-practice available server, database, backup and firewall technologies to protect our information assets. These technologies are deployed as part of standard security architecture. All data resides in a tightly controlled, secure data centre. This means information about the identity and preferences of individual customers is never accessible to anyone outside WiredMAIL.

Policy modifications

If for any reason we make changes to this privacy policy we will notify the changes on our homepage and email users who have given us permission to do so. Changes will of course also be updated here.
